What has Gaddy shown that he should be a starter? You get a 5 star rating and you get a pass.

anonymous - Gaddy will be a new player this year. Mark my words. He is working with Ryan Appleby with his shot and his experience this summer with Team USA under 18 team could potentially bring out the best in him for next year.

Nice write up Griffin. I totally agree that this is a messed up system. This is a prime example of a coach and a player exploiting the weaknesses of NCAA recruiting.

Contrary to what Mr. Basnight is claiming, we can't jump to any conclusions that Calipari has done anything wrong here as we don't have any rock hard evidence... YET. I am sure something will surface this summer and Cal will be on the first plane to Chicago when it does. But for now, we have to come to terms for what this is: Jones is at UK and Cal will remain the most hated person for UW fans. Jones burned his bridges with UW with his last interview and he just added gasoline to it saying that "UK is a way better team than UW."

With that said, take a look here Mr. Jones. We don't have Drake, LeBron or the hairgel to compete with Calipari's limelight. But what we do have is a very solid squad coming back and who has an entirely different approach to how we produce our points this year.

Everyone was counting on TJ being the QPon replacement, but the beauty of our team this year is that we dont have to rely on just one guy for all that production. It's going to be raining from everywhere with atleast three focal points (IT, MBA and Ross/Holiday). And Romar has the ability to shake up his line up to match up against big and small. The best part of Romar's offense is that our PF's really play offense like a SF (ex: Qpon). And if that is the case, I would move Holiday down to the PF as he likely will be shooting mid range anyways. I feel we will start with a fast line up everyday, unless we are playing someone like USC who has the length. At which time Aziz will take over at the 5.

My starting five:

Gaddy
IT
Ross
Holiday
MBA

Thanks to Jim Basnight(Husky Digest) for having the moral courage to comment given his superior information sources.

A quibble with Griffin's comment on 'celebrity'. Some intuitively know the downside and avoid it. Others learn the downside through experience but the reality is that not everyone is willing to make that trade.

My starting four for next year:

IT
Holiday
MBA
Aziz

IMO the fifth spot is Gaddy's to lose but he will have to step up early or risk some bench time. The Maui Classic will go a long way toward determining our starting five.

Again imo, Jones flip flop is a bad omen for his nacent bball journey.
