Montlake Madness is thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with UDubSports.com (the Yahoo/Rivals.com website covering UW football and basketball) to provide game previews and post-game stories for nearly every Husky basketball game this season.
What this means for our readers is a very small change: Game previews will be run in full on Montlake Madness and be available at UDubSports.com. Post-game stories will be carried partially by Montlake Madness and link over to UDubSports.com for the full article. While UDubSports.com provides both free and subscriber-only content, all Montlake Madness writing on UDubSports.com will be run as free content.
It was important to me when I entered into this agreement to make sure the impact on Montlake Madness readers was minimal, and I believe it will be.
There are several reasons that the partnership makes sense for both sites, and why the end result should mean better coverage for Husky fans.
First and foremost, UDUBsports.com does terrific work, and when an opportunity arose to partner with an established site I admire, I had to seriously consider it. This partnership also means that I’ll have the level of access to the games, players and coaches that will allow my coverage to be the very best it can be.
All of our other daily coverage of the team will remain unchanged and right here, only at Montlake Madness.
For anything I write during this partnership, I’ll also be stepping out into the sportswriting world for the first time without the comfort of my pseudonym, Themod. So, when you see stories written by Josh Anderson, that’s me.
I’m excited, and I hope you will be too.

LMAO….you have Arizona as seventh.
Looks like your PAC10 team knowledge pertains to U Dub.
I can understand that. -
Heh, only took you a few months to sell out.
Kidding :]

You do a great job on this site and I’m happy for you to be able to expand your reach.

Congrats Themod! Or should I say, “Josh.”

Hey Josh, Your coverage of Husky Hoops is equal or better to any out there. Thanks. But, you WILL regret picking Cal to take first. I know, talk is cheap, but everything I hear from our players is not how good I am, but how good my teammates are. That is unselfish and therefore said in honesty. It is the truth! Romar will take us far this year.
I am totally bummed that I will be unable to attend the exhibition game tomorrow. I really liked the video tape that you provided for the Midnight Madness that I also missed. Any chance you or someone on your staff could tape major portions of the game against Central WA?!? This will be an exciting game to introduce us to this years Pac-10 Champs!
Oh yes, what is the latest from the weekend visit of Josh Smith?

Josh – The most important thing about this is that you will have unfettered access to the games and players. I’m all for it. Also, the fact that Yahoo is involved (and thus the potential for more of a nation-wide readership) is great for you and the Dawgs program in general. Keep up the good work and your readers will continue to spread the good word.

I am excited for your opportunity Josh, hopefully you will be getting pad for writing about what you love.

Good luck
