Brockman can stick in the league. Think Chuck Hayes with a decent jumper. If Mark Pope could hang around ...

howitzer, i think every dawgs dream is to see Jon back at the udub in some capacity. His parents are both educators, and I bet teaching/coaching would be right up his alley. Or, with how well spoken he is, I think Jon could also have a solid career as one of the talking heads.

My plan is for Jon to play 4 or 5 years in the NBA, salt away some cash and then come on board as Romar's key assistant. Then 4 or 5 years later Romar retires and Jon takes the reins. He goes on to break John Woodens ..........okay so I took it too far...

What a great interview. I really love the way Brockman is still the same guy... his reaction to the big seats on the plane, and the nice dinners is just like the kid next door. I hope he never loses this quality. And his understanding that the NBA is a league of specialists is a great sign for his career.

I believe that his best case scenario is setting himself up as a rebounding specialist who can hit a jumper from time to time. If he can get in the weight room and keep building on that body, he might be able to play 20-25 minutes a game some day, grab 6 or 7 boards and play good defense. If he can work on his 15 footer and foul shooting, too, he could end up making like $40-$50 million dollars. Sounds crazy, but thats what happens when you are a 7th or 8th man on an NBA team for 10 years. I'll be rooting hard for John wherever he plays. Good luck #40 and thanks for the memories.
