The Huskies defeated Wright State tonight, 74-69, at Bank of America Arena in the opener to the 2009/2010 season.

The least you should know:

The night belonged to Isaiah Thomas, who scored 30 points, including 18 in the first half. Had he not been so single-handedly dominant early on, the crowd might’ve seen a true nail-biter tonight.

I’m just glad they got out of the first game with a win. There’s no need to overanalyze things at this stage.

Why do you think Suggs shouldn’t be playing as much as he did? Right now he is playing better than Turner and Holiday.

Agreed Grant…unless I missed something I thought he played with intelligence, showed hustle, crashed the boards and hit some big shots.

Are you seeing something I missed???

I do agree that he looked better last night than he did last year. No question. But, other than his nine points, I didn’t see much to be super-impressed with. For now, I’ll still take Holiday’s defensive presence (particularly after seeing him more aggressive on offense last night) or the chance of Turner getting hot, over Suggs — even Suggs 2.0. For now…
