The Dawgs are picked 13th in the nation in today’s preseason USA Today/ESPN Coaches’ Poll, just behind Cal (12th). No other Pac-10 school made the top 25, but UCLA earned the 29th-most votes, just missing out.
USC earned multiple votes at well. Go figure.

USC with 22 votes is really weird.. kind of makes you think one person put them 4th. Very hard believe that more than 1 person out of 31 would have them in their top 25.

I think whoever picked USC must either be a personal friend of O’Neill’s or a coach who spent the last year in a place completely devoid of all outside information. Like North Dakota.

I just realized USC probably refers to South Carolina. At least I hope so. . .
