Sorry guys, but T-Jones called coach Cal. And the other 4 coaches who’s school he didn’t pick. Coach Cal technically didn’t do anything wrong. However, I still hate Coach Cal. Just congratulate the kid man!!!!!

Hot off the press, Calipari having lunch with Rheinsdorf in Chicago yesterday. Maybe just a meeting but they are under the cap and can sign Lebron, Cal’s buddy.

Thanks Venoying. I totally agree. The 1 year college minimum is too murky right now. I still think kids should be allowed to go straight to the league. It seems like college basketball fans are the driving force behind that rule. It would definitely alleviate some of the Calipari nonsense if these kids opt for the draft and maybe he would get out of the NCAA and go back to the NBA where rules dont apply as much.

And in regards to Cal, I hate him as much as anyone else here. But I have been thinking that maybe just maybe, UW fans might be sufferring from “jealous boyfriend syndrome”. We are all quick to point the finger at the other guy (Cal). When in fact our significant other (TJ) is at the center of all of this.

Definitely not placing blame on TJ, but he does have the power to end all of this drama and he is not doing it. We all want him to make the best decision possbile, but that press conference was probably not the best idea for him.

Funny stuff Craig, interrupting kanye strikes again. Gersen, you don’t really think he would tell the press the truth, do you? I really want to know how corrupt the system is. AAU coaches/boosters/agents… seems pretty slimey

No more one and done, straight to the pros or 2 years minimum. ESPN states that there are 80 non-seniors in the draft, plus seniors and foreign players. There are only 60 spots available.

Pondexter is another guy who is all over mock draft boards, but his game is well-suited to make an impact next year in the NBA — specifically his combination of a midrange game and his length and effort on defense. The midrange jump shot is the worst true-percentage shot in the NBA, but it’s one that many teams settle for or are forced to take as a result of good defense. Having a player with the ability to make this shot, especially a young one, is a blessing.

Most NBA coaches really don’t care where a player is drafted; they just care about winning. So even a late first-round pick will get his chance to crack a rotation. There are some quality teams drafting late that could use a scorer/shooter like Pondexter off the bench. If he does get drafted late in the first round, I expect him to be one of the surprises of this draft, but I also suspect that he’ll be one of the names I hear about most from other players in the pre-draft process. He might not win any athleticism contests, but he’s going to be very difficult to guard in two-on-two and three-on-three contests. In the NBA, I think he can present similar problems. Think Rasual Butler (great midrange shooter) with more than a hint of Stephen Jackson (both second-round picks, by the way).
