Dawgs Lose Shot Monday to Brighten Hopes

Bummer. . . Texas A&M hung with #1 Kansas tonight, and even led them for much of the game. But the Jayhawks got it done in the end, defeating the Aggies, 59-54.

The Huskies, of course, defeated #23 Texas A&M on December 22nd, in a game marred by the gruesome injury to guard Derrick Roland.

With the Pac-10′s reputation so poor this season, A&M sits as the Dawgs marquee victory this year, so their successes all bode well for the Huskies, a bubble team at best for the NCAA Tournament.

And, although I wasn’t around for it, I heard all about the Dawgs GREAT win to break out of their road slump at Stanford.

Five games left. All winnable. I think if they go 5-5, they’ve got a shot at an at-large bid. What do you think?

Thanks for coming!

Make that 5-0 and then maybe they will have an outside chance to get in. Not much hope if they do as they usually play tournament games away from Hec Ed.

I agree, first or second in league get in except if there is an upset in the Pac 10 tournament. If Stanford or us making two free throws with 3 seconds left in two non league games would make it easier on the Pac 10 for sure.

Forgot, Stanford should have beaten Kentucky.

need to win remaining five and do damage in league tournament to get bid. Can’t see this team winning league tournament unless they win remaining five.

If UW wins out then wins 1 maybe 2 games in the tourney which is very realistic then we can get an at-large bid
I think we have a better resume then a team like UTEP or San Diego state

I think 4 of 5 (as long as SC was one of the wins), plus a game or two in the pacx tourney would be enough. So would winning out and then going out in the first round of the Pac10, IMO. But either of those scenarios would make for a stressful Selection Sunday.

Win 6 or 7 total, and it’s a slam dunk.

I know a lot of people are more pessimistic, but no matter how I do the math, that’s what I come up w/.
